Risking the Risky Weather

The wet weather throughout April and May allowed the grass to grow tall and thick. Ed took a chance that the weather for the next few days would be dry enough to bale hay.

The windrows came out tall and dense. Ed wasn’t sure whether he would bale the hay into large rounds or go ahead and make much-needed small squares.
